Welcome to TrenCart. By accessing or using our platform at trencart.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1 Acceptance of Terms

By registering an account, browsing, or making a purchase on TrenCart, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are using TrenCart on behalf of a business, you represent that you have the authority to bind that business to these Terms.

TrenCart reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date above whenever changes are made.

2 Platform Use

TrenCart is an online marketplace connecting buyers with dress material and fabric sellers based primarily in Kerala, India. You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others.

You must not:

  • Use the platform to transmit unsolicited or harmful content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its systems
  • Scrape, copy, or republish platform content without written permission
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Use the platform for any fraudulent or illegal transaction

3 Accounts & Registration

TrenCart uses a one-time password (OTP) sent to your registered email address for account creation and login. You are responsible for keeping your email account secure.

  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Each email address may be associated with only one account
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account

TrenCart reserves the right to suspend or permanently deactivate any account found to be in violation of these Terms, without prior notice.

4 Products & Orders

Products listed on TrenCart are offered by independent shop sellers. TrenCart acts as a marketplace facilitator and is not the seller of record for any product unless explicitly stated.

  • Product images are for illustrative purposes; actual colour may vary due to screen settings
  • Product descriptions, sizes, and availability are maintained by individual sellers
  • Placing an order is an offer to purchase; a contract is formed upon seller acceptance
  • TrenCart reserves the right to cancel orders in cases of pricing errors, stock unavailability, or suspected fraud

All prices displayed are in Indian Rupees (₹) and include applicable taxes at the rate of 18% GST unless otherwise stated.

5 Pricing & Payment

TrenCart currently supports Cash on Delivery (COD) as the payment method. Payment is collected at the time of delivery by the delivery partner.

  • Prices are set by individual shop sellers and may change without notice
  • The price displayed at the time of order placement is the price charged
  • Shipping is provided free of charge on all orders
  • TrenCart charges a platform commission to sellers; this does not affect the price paid by buyers

6 Shipping & Delivery

TrenCart provides free shipping on all orders. Estimated delivery times will be communicated after order confirmation. Delivery timelines may vary based on your location within Kerala and the seller's processing time.

  • Orders are currently delivered within Kerala only
  • Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed
  • Risk of loss and title pass to you upon delivery
  • Ensure your shipping address and phone number are accurate at the time of checkout
  • Failed deliveries due to incorrect address or recipient unavailability may result in the order being returned to the seller

7 Returns & Refunds

We want you to be satisfied with every purchase. Return and refund eligibility is subject to the individual seller's policy. Generally:

  • Returns must be initiated within 7 days of delivery
  • Items must be unused, unwashed, and in their original condition with tags intact
  • Items damaged during shipping are eligible for a full replacement or refund
  • Cut fabric or custom-tailored items are not eligible for return unless defective
  • Refunds for COD orders will be processed via bank transfer within 5–7 business days of return receipt

8 Shop Sellers

Sellers who register on TrenCart as shop owners agree to additional obligations beyond these general Terms:

  • Sellers must provide accurate product information, including stock levels and pricing
  • Sellers are responsible for fulfilling orders in a timely manner
  • A platform commission (as set in the platform settings) is deducted from each completed order
  • Sellers must comply with all applicable Indian tax laws including GST
  • TrenCart reserves the right to remove products or suspend seller accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law
  • Sellers must not list counterfeit, prohibited, or illegal goods

9 Intellectual Property

All content on TrenCart — including the logo, design, text, graphics, and software — is the property of TrenCart or its licensors and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws.

  • You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any platform content without written permission
  • By uploading product images or content, sellers grant TrenCart a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the platform
  • TrenCart does not claim ownership of seller-uploaded content

10 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrenCart and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the platform, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of profits or revenue
  • Data loss or corruption
  • Damage caused by third-party products purchased through the platform
  • Temporary unavailability of the platform due to maintenance or technical issues

TrenCart's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant order.

11 Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. We collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, and delivery address solely for the purpose of providing our services.

  • We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties
  • Order details are shared with the relevant seller and delivery partner to fulfil your order
  • We use OTP-based authentication — we do not store passwords
  • By using TrenCart, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described above

12 Governing Law

These Terms and any disputes arising from them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal proceedings shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
